SAYRA Junior Sailing

The mission of SAYRA Junior Sailing is to foster seamanship, sportsmanship, and a lifelong passion for sailing among our youth sailors.

SAYRA Junior Sailing works to achieve this by offering the Jr Grand Prix Championship, a regional regatta series hosted at peer-selected SAYRA clubs. This series provides junior sailors with the opportunity to compete in different classes of boats and experience a variety of sailing environments, both saltwater and freshwater.

The championship is sailed in 5 different classes 420, Open Skiff, Sunfish, ILCA, and the Optimist. Competitors are required to sail a given number of regattas throughout the year. Trophies are awarded each year at the annual SAYRA Convention. Membership dues go to support Youth Sailing.
