The main purpose of the Junior Sailing Committee is to promote the increase and active participation of our Junior Sailors in various yacht classes throughout the SAYRA community.

SAYRA Youth Sailing Racing Pathway Reference Guide

Every youth has a unique sailing pathway, this is just a guide to opportunity’s that exist within SAYRA.

              
The main program supported by this committee is the SAYRA Junior Grand Prix Championship. The championship is sailed in 5 different classes 420, Open Skiff, Sunfish, Laser and the Optimist. Competitors are required to sail a given number of regattas throughout the year with locations including salt and fresh water environments. Trophies are awarded each year at the annual SAYRA Convention. Membership dues goes to support Youth Sailing.
