How to Apply for:

National USODA Opti Grant

Who is eligible:

1.  A sailor who qualifies and participates in the USODA Team Trials may apply for:  
   • A $500 grant
   • One award per sailor per year
2. Any sailor who qualifies at the USODA Team Trials and makes the United States Optimist National Team may apply for: 
   • A $500 Grant
   • Receipts from travel and lodging must be submitted
   • One award per sailor per year 

Limitations:

1. The maximum allotment for the USODA Team Trials is $5000 
2. The maximum allotment for the USODA National Team is capped at $1500.  
3. All applications received within 30 days after the event will be considered.  
• If more than 10 applications are received for the USODA Team Trails, the $5000 will be divided evenly amongst all sailors applying within those 30 days. 
• If more than 3 applications are received for the National Team Grant, the $1500 will be divided evenly amongst all sailors applying within those 30 days.
