The Pluff Mud Junior Regatta is back! Competition will be hot with 2 courses and that excellent fall weather only Beaufort can provide! Expect to have fun both on and off the water. We created this regatta so we can have a weekend of catering to and celebrating our juniors. We forecast fun in the form of high-end racing, food, socials, and entertainment. Participants and families are welcome to camp onsite and make a weekend of it.

The Chatham Sailing Club and the Yacht Club of Hilton Head Island will host the Seventh Annual Hook Ocean Race on Saturday, September 17, 2022. The press is invited to cover the exciting regatta morning start off Hilton Head Island, as well as the late-afternoon finish-line action and evening ceremonies at The Landings Marina. Interviews available on-site or by prior arrangement. REGISTRATION

The course will start in Calibogue Sound off Hilton Head Island, head south past Tybee Island, and then head up Wassaw Sound to end at Landings Marina on Skidaway Island. The first group starts around 10am. Depending on winds, it will take about six hours for the fleet to reach Wassaw Sound and finish.

A celebration of the beauty and history of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Enjoy legendary surfing and sailing amid jaw-dropping views of the East Coast’s most iconic lighthouse. This memory making festival weekend is jam-packed full of sailing, surfing, great food, and top notch entertainment. Check out the schedule for sunset sails, surfing, beach bonfire party, sailboat racing, a band party, & a low country boil.

All events and racing are open to the public – Hatteras Islands locals and visitors are welcome. Please come out and help us celebrate the beauty and history of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Learn a little about competitive sailing, and cheer on your local Hatteras Sailors.

The weekend’s festivities are being hosted by Frisco Woods Campground. Reserve a cabin, tent sites, or RV site and enjoy the full service facilities including a pool, pavilion, and more. Other lodging options are available. This is the perfect end-of-season regatta getaway weekend designed with something for everyone.
