SAYRA e-newsletter Nov. 2nd, 2020

US Sailing RSA (Regional Sailing Associations) Representative Update - Treez Decker

As you may have noticed through US Sailing and SAYRA communications throughout this year, the very positive thing that has come out of 2020 is the wealth of information now available online, for both youth and adults.  If you have already done so, take some time to visit ussailing.org, and browse the Starboard Portal, One Design Central, Youth Racing Central, and Cruising & Chartering Resources--all new resources this year.  A great way to stay up to date and informed is to subscribe to a channel, or a newsletter, etc.

Of necessity, a number of US Sailing courses have also moved partially or completely online this year, including Level 1 Instructor/Trainer (3 days online, 2 days in person), and Basic Race Management and Club Judge seminars. See below for links to calendars and more information. Take advantage and plan your winter courses.

Having SAYRA’s own Martine Zurinskas serving as Secretary on the US Sailing Board the past couple of years has further strengthened SAYRA’s already strong relationship with US Sailing.  As part of her responsibilities, she has provided a summary of board meetings.  Here is the summary for October LINK.

US Sailing’s Annual Meeting and Town Hall are scheduled for this Saturday, November 7 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM; you can join by following the link on the Starboard Portal.
